A Minute to Myself (59)
Compromising Myself Out of a Marriage

Food Prep Station

I have thought about what my daughters would like to eat.

I have shopped.

I have rinsed and chopped.

I have measured.

I have cooked.

I have washed the bowls, and pans, and utensils.

They have eaten.

It was good.

But there's none left for me.

So that's what happens to my diets. Instead of the fish and fresh vegetables, it's the white starch.

I need to buy more and cook more.

It would be easier if mr ex would, on occasion, pay for his children's food.

I love chopping vegetables; it's therapeutic for me.

The main food prep problems are that my daughters don't tell me what they want, except to say that what I made, they don't want (yes, I know, force them to eat what I made, but that still doesn't resolve the what to make problem); and my ex doesn't pay for their food, so every time I go to the supermarket I am buying less than I should.
