Questions Concerning Love
August 07, 2008
Why do we want love?
Why do we long for love?
Why do we search for love?
Why do we lose ourselves in love?
Why do we find comfort in love?
Why do we grow in love?
Why do we lose love?
Why do we cast aside love?
Why do we relinquish love?
Why do we diminish in love?
Why do we question love?
Not a test, just some thoughts to get the mind wandering. Questions to add?
* * *
So many questions, so few answers. Good questions to think about though.

I'm trying to step back from the expectation of that all-encompassing feeling that we are pretty much fed since we were children since it didn't work out too well the first time. A mature woman, maybe I should have a mature perception of love.

At least they are questions about the best thing which is love.
My question Laura is;
Why don't we consider love as THE most important thing in life.

We ask a lot of questions why. And we never get the answer, we know that we never will until we see it and feel it. At the end of the day, no matter how much we question or deny or even pick at it, we ALL want the same thing, in one form or another, and that's love.

Why, the questions that pierce and try to go to the core.
Is it love that we want or to be comforted and respected to our core, and love is often/hopefully how we reach that? Is love how we attain that in its purest form?

Oh, doesn't this just get your brain going?
Wilma asks why we don't consider love THE most important thing in life?
Here I was thinking, why is Love so all important that we feel not only do we have to have it, we have to have all the answers as well.
I think that when we make love the holy grail of life importance, the trouble begins.
I am much more comfortable with a balance between self love and love from others.

Maybe we should view love like we view sex: it's nice to have, but you can live without it, and what was the big fuss over losing my virginity about anyway?
