The reason that hatred, intolerance and injustice enacted on a certain group of people just because they are a different color, ethnic background, culture, religion etc. still exist today is because people (in the privacy of their own homes) continue to indoctrinate their innocent children with this venom...Why? and will the human race ever exist without prejudice or racism affecting every facet of our being?

How I wish there were a logical answer to this question; or rather, one that bode well for people. Wouldn't it solve the problems of the world from time immemorial?

I would really like to understand why, devoutly religious people thank God (pick whichever politically correct diety name you like), when things are going good for them, but when tragedy strikes, like the death of a child, they say you can't blame God for this.
Wouldn't it be great, if as parents, we could take credit for only the good results of our attempts at child rearing, with the back up of not being responsible for any bad parenting?
Hhhmmmmm.

If they perceive God as an extension of themselves, and if they don't want to fault themselves in any way, then he only brings on miracles, and the tragedies, well it was just meant to be. But really, that is something that always perplexes. Just how much hypocrisy can a person live with and still think that she is a good person?
Regarding your parenting philosophy, I aspire to not taking responsibility for the good or the bad results. They're on their own.
