I remember exactly what I was doing and where I was when I heard the dreadful news.

I had been back in the US for about a year after having lived in Israel for 17 years; I was horrified that the terrorism, the fear in everyday life, the pure hatred and evil had come here. And I think of those photocopied pictures on buildings and fences of loved ones who left their loved ones alone and in love and in pain.
