I have a hard time believing that the expression "let themselves do something" applies to men at all. They just do it.

Another woman's perspective definitely makes this idea sharper. Shall we agree that the men would not first rinse and chop and mix and stir and wash and rinse before going for a quickee.

Judith, I guess the question is why are we doing those things?
Could it go back to the old finish whatever you start, and even taking a pee break would be seen as a break in the commitment? Could it be that we are always ready to martyr ourselves to some cause? Could it be that we always put ourselves last? Could it be that we like to see how long we can hold it in?
