Bad Mother
December 13, 2008
I just hid a pint of ice cream in the freezer so that my daughters won't find it. What can I say in my defense? "Death by Chocolate" will surely soothe my blues more than it will satisfy their chocolate desires.

Oh my, oh my. I'll only call you a bad mother if you do the same for the pan of brownies I keep hidden from my daughters' sight. LOL
Thanks for stopping by my blog! :)

You so deserve to have your own delicious ice cream to enjoy by yourself. I recently bought a box of frozen jelly donuts (minis), so I could keep them in the freezer and eat them at my leisure. Ate them all.

Janna, oh how I love brownies. Undercooked very sweet and dense cake, what could be better? Someone found it and took a few spoonfuls. I guess I can say that I didn't eat the whole thing.
JC, oh no, it is not good to know a week before Hanukkah (holiday of jelly donuts) that there are frozen mini jelly donuts.

There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with hiding the goodies from the kids or the hubby. I've done it for years! Call me selfish...

YES!!!!!! Here's to hiding our "pints" brownies...whatever we want, from our significant others. If I'm going to have it , I don't want to share. It's so nice to know that I am not the only one who does this!

You have to hide the good stuff. Teenagers eat everything that isn't nailed down.
I read on a blog the other day that there is no chocolate ice cream in England.

ST, I would say that this kind of selfish should be viewed as selfless, in fact it protects our families, because without the occasional fix of our goodies we would lose it.
Gwen, I love that only I like Whoppers at the movies, I can eat as many as I want without thinking about anyone.
phhhst, Why is there no chocolate ice cream in England? Do they not have taste buds there?

I would totally do this if it weren't for the fact that I love dark choco and neither of my girls do :)

April, my daughters love dark chocolate, but I don't. So when they crave chocolate and I am trying to not eat chocolate, I get dark. Otherwise, they are cross-chocolate eaters, and I am not.
