Blagojevich and mr ex
December 20, 2008
Apparently Rod Blagojevich and mr ex are cut from the same cloth. Same arrogance, same narcissism, same belief in self above all the stupid people in the world. Unfortunately mr ex didn’t have a wife like Blagojevich’s (teachers at school have been comparing him to Macbeth and her to Lady Macbeth) to back him up and tell him that he is a genius, and, yeah, “Go f--- the Cubs” along with all of his F’s. Watching him in his little press conference, his big opportunity to show how much better he is than all of the little people who don’t get a bully pulpit, say that he “will fight will fight will fight,” reminded me of ex-man crawling into the king-sized bed every night. What is it that he is fighting for? What is it that he is standing up for?
Himself and no one else.
Yeah, the good fight.
Yep. Pride and arrogance at its finest.

It's a variation on the quantity vs. quality argument: pride and arrogance vs. intelligence and compassion.

I'm not sure whether I need to go view the news clip, or am glad I missed it.

But the hair! THE HAIR! Or the walking advertisement for Hair Club for Men. :D
Yeah, he's following in a fine tradition, heh.

phhhst, no need. You have probably seen full-blown arrogance before, this time with a tough-guy Chicago accent. As the ladies at work say, he is a modern-day Macbeth.
goodfather, I am not so petty as to focus on his hair. What is it that they say about hair and size?
These guys are like fire-breathing dragons: they talk and others get burned. At some point, maybe, they'll burn themselves.

Blago's recital was awe-inspiring...in that "OMG, what a total narcissist" way!

April, awe-inspiring indeed, in the "watch him and never be like that" way. And he even has his paid lackeys. I truly can't wait to see how this unfolds--where the twisted alleys of his mind lead him.
Maybe he can run off with Sarah Palin. That would be interesting.

The good thing is that Macbeth and Lady Macbeth self-destructed and their hubris led to their defeat. We can only hope that these two will do the same. Asshats.

Dingo, well, hubris can sustain one for quite a while, I just hope there's someone out there who he will listen to who has reality in sight (or hearing, with those tapes).
